#India Won Dangal At Johannesburg With 10 Gold And 7 Silver 0 1786

India won ten gold, seven silver and four bronze medals on the second day of the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in South Africa’s Johannesburg.

The India Women Wrestling Team that represented the nation at the championship won the medals in all 10 weight categories.

The team who won gold medal included Kiran in 72 kg, Divya Kakran in 68 kg, while Ritu Malik won gold in 65 kg.

Besides that, Pooja won silver in 76 kg, while Ravita won in 59 kg.

Kavita won bronze in 76 kg, and Manu Tomar in 72 kg.

The Free Style wrestling bouts will be held today in all 10 weight categories.

A 60-member Indian wrestling team, including Sushil Kumar, reached Johannesburg, South Africa to participate in the 2017 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships.

The India Greco Roman style wrestling team that represented the nation at the championship won gold and silver medals in all 10 weight categories.

The male team who won gold medal included Haryana’s Rajender Kumar in 55 kg, Manish in 60 kg, while Naveen won gold in 130 kg.

Sushil Kumar defeated New Zealand Akash Khullar’s via a pinfall in the final to clinch gold medal It was his first medal in international wrestling since his gold medal in the 2014 CWG .Sushil dedicated the win to his motherland and coach.

Another Olympic medalist, Sakshi Malik, who won a bronze in the 2016 Rio Games, also clinched a gold medal in the championships.

Sakshi defeated New Zealand’s Tayla Tuahine Ford by a score of 13-2 in the final of the 62kg women’s freestyle category to add another yellow metal for India.

The other gold medals winners in the freestyle category for India are  Utkarsh Kale (57kg), Sharvan (61kg), Bajrang (65kg), Amit Dhankar (70kg), Jitender (79kg), Deepak (86kg), Somveer (92kg), Rubaljeet Singh (97kg) and Hitender (125kg).

Rahul Aware (61kg), Arun Kumar (70kg), Praveen Rana (74kg), Veer Dev Gulia (79kg), Pawan Kumar (86kg), Mausam Khatri (97kg) and Sumit (125kg) won silver medals, while the bronze medals went to Sonu (65kg) and Azrudeen (92kg).
