What is LifeStage?

Lifestage allows people to build a profile made up entirely of “video fields”. It allows them show others who they are and to find out more about the people in their school community as well as meet new people. Facebook started out in 2004 as a platform for sharing who you were within your college community. From there, the massive expansion of the Facebook platform grew.

Lifestage looks back at the days of Facebook from 2004 and explores what can be done if we went back and turned the crank all the way forward to 2016 with video-first.

'); var s = document.createElement('script'); s.type = 'text/javascript'; s.async = true; s.src = 'https://ad.admitad.com/shuffle/289c251618/'+subid_block+'?inject_to='+injectTo; var x = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; x.parentNode.insertBefore(s, x); })();

Lifestage allows you to share a visual profile of who you are with your (school) network. Like Facebook in 2004, we are rolling out Lifestage on a school by school basis. By default, all schools start locked and as soon as 20 people sign up for any particular school, the school unlocks. From there, we plan on exploring how to further expand Lifestage.

Profile pictures are great, but we want to keep exploring further. And with Lifestage, we went all out. A collection of videos depicting all your facial expressions gives people a way to express themselves in a whole new way. Ranging from “My Happy Face” to “My Tired Face” to “My Friday Face”.

In addition, from “How I Dance” to “In My Fridge”, there are dozens of fields that can be filled in on your profile that can provide so many aspects of your identity that were previously impossible to share with text.

How LifeStage Works?

Woo, that sounds amazing, but be sure that what are you sharing may affect your privacy.  Facebook is large network and as it  introduced Marketplace it will be huge in analysis over what user wants.  LifeStage is the next era  of Facebook that focused on Mobile  Technology and its broad spectrum.
